Most CEOs identify managing rapid change as one of their top three challenges. Change is occurring faster today than during any other time in history. It is a significant factor in business and essential for progress.
All projects introduce change, ranging from
· developing and launching new products or services,
· research and development,
· globalization projects,
· reorganization projects,
· implementing a strategic plan,
· addressing regulatory requirements, and
· mergers and acquisitions - to name a few.
To thrive in today’s competitive environment, organizations must view change as opportunity – not as a threat. Having the ability to initiate or react quickly and effectivelyto change is a clear competitive advantage. Yet, driving change isn’t easy. Most people resist change. Motivating others to alter their habitscan be difficult, and complacency can be hard to overcome.
